Hankook Tyres is the world’s seventh largest tyre company, with a long-established brand and offices all over the world. As it is already a sponsor of various motorsports events and competitors, Hankook is a highly visible company in its industry. Kiss Design was contracted by Hankook’s head office in the UK to broaden its exposure in the country with a targeted marketing campaign. This campaign aimed to engage customers across a wide spectrum of social and economic tiers. The concept of ‘winning back the cost of your tyres’ was decided upon, which saw anyone who bought a Hankook tyre automatically entered into a competition with multiple £50 prizes.
Kiss Design managed the entire promotion: competition entries, winner selection, and prize distribution. Over the course of a month, numerous daily prizes were delivered to Hankook’s customer base, using SMS messaging. Perhaps the biggest challenge we faced working for Hankook was not creative, but data management – we not only administered the competition but also dealt with customer enquiries, meaning there was an enormous amount of information to deal with!
