Baxi is one of Europe’s largest manufacturers and distributors of domestic and commercial water and space heating systems. It is also the fifty-second largest privately owned company in the world. So it is a fact that Baxi’s outward facing communications are already dong a fantastic job. Where the company felt like it needed guidance was in its internal communications. Kiss Design was the perfect choice to help it achieve its aims.
Kiss’ focus on simple, compelling, messaging was a strong draw for Baxi, and it let us optimize communications across their intranet service, newsletters, and more.
It quickly became clear that Baxi had a lot of things to communicate to its staff, and a lot of new internal initiatives such as its Xchange platform to focus on innovation. Baxi is an employee-owned company, and a huge part of its business model is based on leveraging talent across the company for greater success. This means that every internal communication it sends out has to be crystal clear, easy to understand, and guide employees towards certain behaviours.
Kiss Design worked to produce an entire suite of internal communications assets for Baxi, but it had to begin with a top-down redesign of the company’s internal branding. What Kiss set out to do was create a look and feel for Baxi that engaged its workforce to produce a strong spirit of collaboration. Basically, a style that reflected how internal communications should be done.
Once we had completed this process, we had to apply that style to the design of the company’s magazines, newsletters, posters, videos, and other internal communications tools, and then evaluate them from a brand strategy and marketing planning perspective.
The result is a suite of creative assets that are clear, compelling, and strategically designed to motivate Baxi’s workforce towards the company’s bright future.
